Harvard buys Bitcoin ETF! - Scratching the Surface with Soosh

One thing i love about emerging tech is seeing traditional businesses who change their stance on it years later.

Today's topic: Harvard Adds Bitcoin ETF to their portfolio!

During 2018, Economists from Harvard concluded that Bitcoin would be more likely to be worth $100 each instead of $100,000. Now no one really knew what the price for BTC would be with 100% certainty but the inherit value is greater than $100 as determined by most traders.

Now in 2025, Harvard investment disclosures concludes that they have added The $116.7 million USD worth of IBIT ETF, which is the Bitcoin ETF by Blackrock.

Super excited to have more funds and endowments add exposure to Bitcoin (+ more) crypto assets in the sake of diversification as a starting point. To eventually a hold value of crypto assets with long term investment outlook.
